1999 - This club was formed in 1999 through the merger of the Mortlake team (Hampden Football League) and the Derrinallum team (Western Plains Football League). The merged entity competed in the Hampden Football League in 1999, wearing Brisbane guernseys.

2000 - The Western Lions went into recess in April of 2000. Derrinallum entered into a new merger agreement, with Lismore. Mortlake seemingly dropped off the chart.
