General :
One source suggests, but does not confirm, that the actual name of this club (at least in 1955) was Flinders Naval Depot FC. Other sources refer to the club, simply, as 'Navy'. In additon, the revival of Cerberus FC, listed as previously having played in the Nepean FL 'until the 70s', lends itself to the possibility that the new club is meant to be this old one revived, even though Flinders and HMAS Cerberus are located well apart.
